Abstract
This study conducted for investigation of the effect of rumex sc on milk yield and composition of lactating cow, an experiment performed with 24 dairy cows with milk yield average 35±5 kg/day, weight average 600±25 kg and DIM 90±30, two diet (control and experiment) and two period (every period 42 day) by application change over design. The main components of base diet were hay (15/5 %), corn silage (24%), pulb (7%) and concentrate (53/5%). Every two diets were alike with a view to ingredients and their ration and also energy and chemical composition, but only rumex was added to experimental diet up to 5gr/day/herd. Cows were weighted once in the beginning and finish of every period. Cows were fed as ad libitum and were milked thrice a day. Milk production was recorded in every milking and sampled for its components as fortnight. Sampling of blood was conducted to determine glucose and urea, sampling of ruminal liquid to determine fermentation parameters (VFA, amonium-N and pH) and sampling of milk was conducted to determine milk component. Result of the experiment shown that addative substance not any effect on present of protein and fat, fat and protein yield, snf, ts, lactose and mun, but increased milk yield significantly for expriment group than control group (p<0/05). Average of corrected milk yield basis of 3/2% fat were 31/87 and 33/26 kg /day, basis of 3/5% fat were 30/19 and 31/58 an basis of 4% fat were 27/82 and 29/21 for experiment group and control respectively which was significant difference between two group. Significant decrease was indicated for protozoa counts, amonium N and pH. Molar proportion of acetate was decreased and propionate was increased with a corresponding decrease in acetate: Propionate ratio. Molar porportion valeric acid, iso valeric acid, butirate acid, iso butric and also total VFA not were affected by experiment substant, in this expriement glucose was significantely increased, but the blood urea was significantlydecreased. Thus the use of rumex in the diet of the lactatin dairy cow is effective due to increase in milk yield.
